Mon premier Jardin de Grand-Mère...
Mon premier quilt à la main!!!
It's the first time I'm participating to the Quilt Festival.
I made my first quilt and bought my first machine in February 2009... Since then I cannot stop sewing!
My favorite quilt is my 3rd one: the Daisy Chain Mid Mod Quilt.
This quilt has a story…
I gave it to my aunt Renée as she was sick in the hospital in palliative care.
For my first visit, I thought I needed to bring her something cheerful and I took my favorite quilt with me.
As I arrived in her dully room and she was lying in her bed, I drew the quilt out of the bag and it was like colors were suddenly shining in her room!!!
It was so powerful that I asked her twice if she wasn't disturbed by all the bright colors? The quilt was like a prism breaking down the whiteness of the walls and of the bed linens.
No, she wasn't disturbed, she was very weak and tired but... happy!
I was even happier to leave her that day with a shine of color in her hospital room.
Afterwards she told me that the quilt was agreeably warm when she had cold and that it had also the good consistency to cover her wheelchair.
She is gone… last week… and I hope I have succeeded in brightening up her life end … with my Daisy Chain Mid Mod quilt…
Thank you Park City Girl for organizing this virtual Quilt Exhibition and giving us the chance to meet great Quilters on the Internet!

Ter-mi-né!!!
Enfin...
Bref, on "bulle"!
